Exhibit Settings
Introduction
The Exhibit plugin provides the operator with a flexible and feature rich user interface (UI) for reordering, insertion, deletion and rotation of scanned pages for the purpose of quality control and accurate and consistent Court Exhibit capture
Exhibit names are formed using a feature rich syntax, composed of the following parts
Prefix
Counter1 (numeric or alpha)
Counter1 (numeric or alpha)
Suffix
These parts can then be combined to form a multitude of exhibit names using a syntax in the settings, for example
{Prefix}-{Counter1}-{Counter2}-{Suffix}
1. Prompt for each document in batch
Setting this option indicates that the user will be presented with the Exhibit Naming Window each time a document is saved.
2. Exhibit name preview displayed in bold
Setting this option indicates that the Exhibit name will be previewed in bold on the Exhibit naming window, example shown below
3. Save document into a Job archive (Zipped file)
Set this option to have each document saved into a ZIP job archive saved in the designated folder.
4. Preview visible on UI
Set this option to display the Exhibit Naming preview window on the main user interface of ScanToPDF, as shown below
5. Show second counter on UI
The Exhibit plugin provides 2 counters for exhibit naming. Set this option to display the second counter on the user interface, otherwise only 1 counter will be displayed.
6. Auto reset of counters at end of batch
Set this option to enable all counters to be reset at the end of the save of every batch. Otherwise the counters can only be reset by user intervention using the spinners on the Exhibit naming window

Exhibit Naming Window
Introduction
The exhibit naming window displays the details of the exhibit name, enabling changes to the increment counters and the name structure. This can be displayed for each document or in the preview window (dependant on settings)
The exhibit name can be formed of the following parts or sections
Prefix (any text) - optional
Counter1 (Numeric or Alpha)
Counter2 (Numeric or Alpha) - optional
Suffix (any text) - optional
These parts are then used in the Formatting Syntax settings
1. Job reference
This is the job reference and enables each job to be given a unique reference. This reference can also be used in the automatic file naming process using the {JobReference} ScanToPDF variable. For example, in the Output file path setting in the automatic file namer.
C:\pdf files\{JobReference}\{FormatExhibitName()}.pdf
2. Prefix
This is the prefix part of the exhibit file name and referenced in the naming syntax using the variable prefix, for example
{Prefix}-{Counter1}-{Suffix}
to create file names that would look like this
EXH-1-APRIL.pdf
EXH-2-APRIL.pdf
EXH-3-APRIL.pdf
EXH-4-APRIL.pdf
3. Incr #1
This is the incrementing counter for Counter1 and can be a numeric or alpha counter. Selecting this counter will cause this to be the active incrementing counter as each document is saved.
For example when Incr#1 is the active counter and using a naming syntax of {Prefix}-{Counter1}-{Counter2} the file names will be
Prefix-1-1.pdf
Prefix-2-1.pdf
Prefix-3-1.pdf
Prefix-4-1.pdf
4. Incr #2
This is the incrementing counter for Counter2 and can be a numeric or alpha counter. Selecting this counter will cause this to be the active incrementing counter as each document is saved.
For example when Incr#2 is the active counter and using a naming syntax of {Prefix}-{Counter1}-{Counter2} the file names will be
Prefix-1-1.pdf
Prefix-1-2.pdf
Prefix-1-3.pdf
Prefix-1-4.pdf
5. Suffix
Enter a value for the suffix part of the exhibit file name.
6. Format
Use the drop down list to quickly change the exhibit naming format required.
7. Exhibit name preview
This is a preview of the currently selected exhibit name (visible dependant on settings)
